EXPANDING
THE ISLA MODEL
IN BRAZIL

Ricardo John has more than 20 years of experience in the advertising industry and is widely regarded as one of Brazil’s most influential creative leaders. After a long career within major global networks—where he served as CCO and, for the last eight years, as CEO and CCO—he joined ISLA as Partner and CEO of ISLA Brazil, strengthening the agency’s presence in the Brazilian market.

Prior to ISLA, he was CEO and CCO of FCB Brazil, leading campaigns for global brands such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, Nestlé, TikTok and SKY. His work has been recognized with 54 Cannes Lions, and he has served as jury member and jury president at the festival on three occasions.

During his time at JWT (now VML), he co-created the 20/20 project, aimed at increasing the inclusion of Black professionals in the advertising industry, and his work promoting racial equality was recognized with the Troféu Raça Negra.

Today, from ISLA Brazil, he works with local, regional and global brands, consolidating an independent model focused on cultural impact and business relevance.
