ISLA was named Agency of the Year at the 2024 Effie Awards Mexico after winning four metals for highly effective campaigns.

During this anniversary edition of the Effie Awards Mexico 2024 —the awards that recognize the most effective campaigns— ISLA REPUBLIC Mexico took home four metals: one gold, two silvers, and one bronze.

Mexico City, October 2024.— ISLA REPUBLIC was recognized as Agency of the Year at the 25th edition of the Effie Awards Mexico, a ceremony in which it also won four metals: one gold, two silvers, and one bronze.

“This is the result of true teamwork, both agency and client. It wouldn’t have been possible without the talent we have in Mexico, and I believe that this chemistry is what we see today,” said Mariano Serkin, Founding Partner of ISLA REPUBLIC.

Regarding the metals the agency swept during this major celebration of advertising effectiveness, the gold Effie was won in the Snacks, Desserts and Confectionery category with the campaign “Maternidad real” for Marías Gamesa (PepsiCo Mexico Foods).

With the campaign “Fallar es de valientes” for Doritos (PepsiCo Mexico Foods), also in the Snacks, Desserts and Confectionery category, the agency earned a bronze Effie. Meanwhile, with the campaign “No subestimes el efecto extra Pip-Cante de Flamin’ Hot,” they won another bronze and a silver.

“Today it’s important to understand that we must listen, because it’s an incredible moment to learn. Everything changes too quickly, everything goes out of fashion too quickly, so the only constant seems to be wanting to learn,” Serkin shared.

Learning is the common theme behind ISLA REPUBLIC being recognized as Agency of the Year. In each of its campaigns, the agency has evolved toward business consulting services, achieving a deeper understanding of human behavior supported by creativity, strategy, planning, and data.
